Isodora A-Skort

Fabric Features:

First of all, she is crafted from a rare cotton weave fabric in a Houndstooth pattern, which is usually seen in polyester or woolen fabrics. The fabric has a fair bit of thickness, as I originally purchased it to make jackets.

A couple of months ago, we had a discussion about the in-built shorts and whether the hem should face inward or outward. Most of our customers thought it should face inward instead of between the two layers. Therefore, I spent some time unpicking the stitches and reconstructing this item so all the hems now face inward.

While I was picking the stitches, I found some discolorations on the fabric (shown in the photos). They are so faded and blended so well into the black and white pattern. To be 100% honest, I would totally miss them if I didn’t have to reconstruct the skorts. I’m not sure if the fabric came this way, or if the discoloration occurred in my fabric storage (I had it for quite a while just because I’m a hoarder ^^), or if it happened during transport. I haven’t treated them yet, so I’m not sure if they can be removed or not. If you decide to purchase this item, please make sure you accept this imperfection.

The RRP of the skorts was $55 due to the weight of the fabric and the extra time spent on it, but it’s now marked down to $40 to cover my cost. There aren’t a lot of them made, so if you love it, make sure you don’t miss out.

Lastly, I don’t recommend upsizing on this one —— just go with the size of your girl’s waist. Because of the weight of the fabric, the adjustment of the elastic is very limited. As you can see in the photos, Aiya (125cm, 23kg) was wearing a size 6, which is her usual skort size. The waist crunched up a little, I think size 5 would fit better.
